How we collect, use, and protect information across the PressGenAI platform.

Last updated: February 2026. This policy applies to pressgenai.com and all PressGenAI platform deployments operated by Social-Impact Innovations Pvt Ltd.

1. Who we are

PressGenAI is a product of Social-Impact Innovations (operating entity: Social-Impact Innovations Pvt Ltd, Nagpur, India). We provide white-labelled hyperlocal news platform software to publishers ("Publishers") who deploy it for their readers and community contributors ("End Users").

For the purposes of data protection law, Social-Impact Innovations is the data processor. The Publisher deploying PressGenAI for their community is the data controller for End User data collected through their deployment.

2. What data we collect

Publisher accounts

End Users (via Publisher deployments)

Website visitors (pressgenai.com)

3. How we use data

We use collected data to: operate and maintain the platform; provide customer support; send service-related notifications; improve platform features; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not use End User data for advertising.

4. Data storage and transfers

PressGenAI infrastructure is hosted on cloud services (AWS/GCP) with servers that may be located outside India. For US Publisher deployments, we use US-region servers by default. Data transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

Publishers contracting with PressGenAI for US deployments may request a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) specifying data residency and transfer terms. Contact sameer@pressgenai.com to request a DPA.

5. Data retention

Publisher account data is retained for the duration of the subscription and for 90 days following termination, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Published content may be retained per the Publisher's editorial policies. Publishers may request complete data deletion at any time.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. End Users should direct rights requests to the Publisher operating their deployment. Publishers may direct requests to sameer@pressgenai.com.

For US residents: we comply with applicable US state privacy laws including CCPA (California) and similar statutes. We do not sell personal information as defined under CCPA. We do not engage in targeted advertising using personal data.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive fields, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected parties promptly in the event of a data breach.

8. Third-party services

PressGenAI uses the following categories of third-party services: cloud hosting infrastructure, payment processing, and email delivery. Each third party is bound by data processing agreements. We do not integrate with advertising networks or social media tracking.

9. Children's privacy

PressGenAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Publishers deploying PressGenAI for educational institutions must ensure appropriate age verification and parental consent mechanisms are in place.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated to active Publisher accounts by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
